Staff Accountant Direct Hire opportunity Job Duties
1) Contributes financial information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
2) Provides accounting department with annual budget information; monitors expenditures; identifies variances; implements corrective actions.
3) Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements.
4) Approves cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, authorizing checks and wire transfers.
5) Approves ledger entries by auditing transactions.
6) Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
7) Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
8) Also, provides daily support to field operations by training operators to use and understand financial information and back office accounting systems.
They will have a lot of internal interactions among departments in terms of budgeting, assessing expenditures, making sure vendors get paid, etc.
Critical Hiring Requirements
o Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
o 3 to 5 years' relevant accounting experience; preferably in a multi-unit environment
o Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
o Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
o They use the accounting software SAP B-1. Don't have to know this but a plus if they did.
o Excellent organizational and customer service skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Proficient knowledge of Excel, particularly in use of sum-if and v-lookup formulas (use of macros is a plus)
