Medical Payment Poster 2
Position Description
Organizes in-patient and out-patient claims for electronic or hard copy mail and forwards to appropriate third party payers. May receive payment, and prepare payment for deposit and forward to appropriate financial institution. Responsible for posting payments, rejections and LOA's to accouiunts and making corrections to misapplied payments. Reviews claims to make sure that payer specific billing requirements are met, follows-up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary.

Post Credit Transfers
Familiar with Deposit Reports
Post daily cash application batches.
Post refund and adjustments.
Reconcile daily batch totals to deposit totals.
Review and correct batch discrepancies.
Prepare refunds for client approval.
Meet quality and production standards
Minimum Requirements
1
years of work experience; Insurance processing or billing experience or accounting or finance experience; 10,000 Alph Numeric required, very detail oriented. 5% error rate
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Advanced knowledge of payment poster responsibilities and understanding of posting process and little supervision needed.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
